How to Insert Contact Lenses
1. Wash your hands with antibacterial soap.
2. Place the contact lens on the tip of your index finger (try to keep your finger dry and the lens ‘wet’) and tuck your other fingers out of the way.
3. Drag your bottom eyelid down with your middle finger. At the same time, gently pull your top eyelid upwards with your middle finger.
4. Place the contact lens on the coloured part of your eye .
5. Don’t press too hard. Come as close as you can and let the contact lens ‘suck’ on to the eye. Release your eyelids.
6. Look up, down , left, right slowly to get rid of any air bubbles and centre the contact lens.
7. Once your lenses are in place, wipe their case with a tissue and leave it to air-dry. You should replace the case every three months.
How to remove a soft contact lens
1. Wash your hands with antibacterial soap.
2. Drag your bottom eyelid down with your middle finger. At the same time, gently pull your top eyelid upwards with your middle finger and ring finger.
3. Pinch the contact lens off the eye with your thumb and index finger.
