VitroCap®N for Eye Floaters

VitroCap®N is a nutritional supplement formulated for people experiencing vitreous eye floaters.

Eye floaters are often harmless, but new or changing floaters may sometimes be associated with an underlying eye condition. An optometrist or ophthalmologist should assess your eyes to determine whether VitroCap®N is appropriate for you.

VitroCap®N does not replace a comprehensive eye examination or professional medical care.

Recommended Six-Month Course

For best results, VitroCap®N is recommended as a continuous six-month course.

Take:

1 capsule daily with food for 6 months

Each bottle contains 90 capsules and provides approximately a three-month supply.

Two bottles are required to complete the recommended six-month course.

VitroCap®N can generally be discontinued after completing the six-month course unless your healthcare professional advises otherwise.

What are Eye Floaters?

Eye floaters are small dots, strands, flecks or cobweb-like shapes that move through your field of vision.

They can occur at any age but are more common in people who:

• are over 50;
• are short-sighted;
• have undergone cataract surgery;
• have age-related changes within the vitreous gel of the eye.

As the vitreous changes over time, collagen fibres can clump together and cast shadows on the retina. These shadows are perceived as floaters.

Sudden new floaters, flashes of light, a shadow or curtain in your vision, or a sudden reduction in vision require urgent assessment by an eye-care professional.

What Causes Eye Floaters?

As we grow older, the protein that makes up the jellylike vitreous starts to breakdown becoming more liquid and the collagen fibres clump together. The appearance of eye-floaters is created by the shadows from these clumps cast on the retina as light passes through the eye. If you see flashes of light however, it may be because the vitreous has come away from the retina and it is important that you seek immediate medical advice. This is a medical emergency.

Treatment for Eye Floaters

Eye-floaters are considered harmless in the medical sense and therefore it is often recommended that sufferers adapt and learn to live with them. If the problem becomes more serious however a vitrectomy (surgery where the vitreous is removed and replaced) may be suggested.

VitroCap® offers those suffering from vitreous eye-floaters a non surgical alternative and may help reduce floater-related visual disturbance after consistent use for six months

How Does Vitrocap Help?

VitroCap®N contains a combination of micronutrients, plant extracts, vitamin C and L-lysine.

The formulation is intended to support the normal collagen structure of the vitreous and may help reduce the visual disturbance associated with eye floaters when taken consistently over the recommended six-month period.
