DR KEVIN TRAC (OPTOMETRIST)

Kevin was born at the very place where he practises – Westmead Hospital. He graduated with honours from the University of NSW with degrees in Vision Science and Optometry. During his studies he undertook placements at the Australian College of Optometry (ACO) in Melbourne and at the South-West Eye Hospital in Chongqing, China.
Kevin has worked with the Brien Holden Vision Institute delivering eye care and education programs to remote Aboriginal communities in NSW and the Northern Territory.
With over a decade of experience in optometry, Kevin Trac is passionate about delivering the highest quality outcomes for all his patients. He has a special interest in children’s vision (behavioural optometry and myopia control), orthokeratology (Ortho-K) and specialty contact lens fitting for keratoconus and post corneal graft patients.
He is therapeutically endorsed to prescribe medications to treat anterior eye infections, inflammations and also to co-manage glaucoma and post cataract surgery. He has also been trained in foreign body removal and the treatment of dry eyes. He was one of the first eye care practitioners to introduce Blephasteam treatment for patients suffering from chronic dry eyes in Western Sydney.
He is a professional member of the Optometry Association of Australia, CCLSA (Cornea and Contact Lens Society of Australia), OSO (Orthokeratology Society of Oceania) and the SLS (Scleral Lens Education Society).

As a qualified optical dispenser from the Australasian College of Optical Dispensing, Tony has over 40 years of experience in the optical industry. He has been with Westmead Eyes since inception. Tony enjoys finding the perfect frame for customers, ensuring it not only looks amazing but gives optimal vision. He comes highly skilled and his technical knowledge is unsurpassed.
