For patients who haven’t found answers
At Westmead Eyes, we provide detailed, structured assessments for patients with persistent symptoms or complex visual concerns.
We assess both eye health and visual function, looking beyond a standard eye examination to investigate problems that may not be identified through routine testing.
Using advanced diagnostic technology and a careful clinical approach, we aim to provide clear explanations, practical recommendations and a personalised management plan.
Complex Eye Care

We regularly assess patients with keratoconus, complex corneal conditions, dry eye, binocular vision problems, dizziness, visual discomfort and persistent symptoms despite previous eye examinations.
Advanced Diagnostic Technology

OCT, retinal imaging, visual-field testing, corneal topography and other targeted investigations help us diagnose and monitor eye conditions more precisely.
Clear, Personalised Management

We take the time to explain our findings, discuss your options and develop a management plan tailored to your symptoms, visual needs and lifestyle.
About Westmead Eyes
Westmead Eyes is an independent optometry practice located within the Westmead Hospital precinct, providing advanced eye care for patients across Western Sydney and beyond.
Since 2013, the clinic has developed a strong focus on the assessment and management of complex eye and vision conditions, with many patients referred from other optometrists, general practitioners and ophthalmologists for more detailed evaluation. Many of our patients attend for a second opinion or more comprehensive assessment.
We have been providing eye care to the local community including Parramatta, Westmead and surrounding suburbs, while also attracting patients from across Sydney and interstate for specialty contact lenses, binocular vision and neuro-optometric care.
Our approach is centred on thorough, structured assessments that go beyond a standard eye test, with a focus on identifying underlying causes of symptoms and providing targeted, long-term management.
We regularly see patients with conditions such as keratoconus, dry eye disease, and binocular vision disorders, as well as those experiencing ongoing symptoms including headaches, dizziness and visual discomfort that have not been resolved elsewhere.
In addition to complex care, we continue to provide comprehensive eye examinations and ongoing management of eye health for patients of all ages.
Independent, clinician-led care
We are an independent, clinician-led practice, allowing us to focus entirely on clinical outcomes and individualised patient care.
Our approach is guided by evidence-based practice, with a strong emphasis on ongoing training, advanced diagnostic technology, and delivering a high standard of care across both routine and complex presentations.
We utilise modern imaging and diagnostic equipment to support accurate diagnosis and long-term monitoring, particularly for patients requiring more detailed evaluation or ongoing management.
As part of the Westmead medical precinct, we work closely with local general practitioners, ophthalmologists and other healthcare providers. Many of our patients are referred for second opinions, complex case assessment, and specialty contact lens fitting.
Being an independent practice also allows continuity of care – enabling us to build long-term relationships with our patients and provide consistent, personalised management over time.
